Your health data stays private.
Shoop is a personal dashboard created for Shawn. It uses connected WHOOP data only to display personal sleep, recovery, strain, workouts and related trends.
Data Shoop accesses
With your permission, Shoop requests read-only access to your WHOOP profile identifier, sleep, recovery, physiological cycles and workouts. Shoop does not modify data in your WHOOP account.
How it is used
The data is used to produce your private dashboard, daily summaries and automations you explicitly enable. It is not sold, shared for advertising or used to make automated medical decisions.
Storage and security
WHOOP access and refresh tokens are encrypted before storage. The dashboard is restricted to its authenticated owner, uses HTTPS and keeps credentials on the server rather than in browser code.
Hosting and sign-in
Shoop runs on Shawn's Cloudflare account at SBCombinator, with a separate D1 database. Sign-in checks your WHOOP identity against the authorised owner. Session identifiers are stored as hashes and expire after seven days. ChatGPT Sites is no longer required by this app.
AI summaries
When you request an AI brief, the displayed wellness metrics are sent to OpenAI to generate that brief. Shoop requests no response storage. AI output is not a medical assessment.
Retention and deletion
The connection remains until you disconnect WHOOP. Disconnecting revokes WHOOP access and removes the stored connection credentials. Cached health records, if added later, will follow the same owner-controlled deletion policy.

Shoop helps you view personal patterns. Its summaries are informational and are not medical advice, diagnosis, reassurance or emergency monitoring.
Push notifications
If you enable notifications, Shoop stores an encrypted device subscription and your chosen settings. Messages travel encrypted through your browser’s push provider. Scores are excluded from lock-screen messages unless you opt in. Disable notifications in Shoop to remove that device subscription; disconnecting WHOOP removes all your notification subscriptions. Delivery identifiers are kept for up to seven days to prevent duplicate reminders.
